If you look around the forum, you'll see bars under user's names, that signify a special rank, or membership to certain groups. Six, for example, has a userbar that says Admin. You'll also notice them of members of the Graphics team, and Loyalists, as well as Moderators.

This would be something similar, and would let everyone know that the user has accomplished something, such as being voted best x.

This is a really cool idea, I'm glad you posted about it. It'll be interesting to see where this goes, I'd really like to see it fleshed out.
