Subject: Movember for prostate cancer & Male depression Fri 1 Oct - 12:19
i bring this subject to the attention of all males .
Movember is a fundraiser and more importantly it brings up the touchy subject for men about prostate cancer and the dangers of not getting your self checked out by your GP . Yes it may mean you have to have a camera shoved up your backside but this is very little to put up with when you consider the consequences of not getting your self looked at (you may end up dieing a very painful and horrible death ). i do not mean to push anyone to give money but to bring this to light for people to see this is a big problem among men .i am tryin to make people aware of the dangers of not getting you self checked out if you are 30 years old this is the time for you to see a Doc .i am 30 and i plan on getting myself checked .if picked up early it is highly treatable and will give you far less troubles than if you wait till you find your self getting horribly sick by this time it will be bad news and the road ahead will be hard .
you are probably thinking why is Wadey bringing this up well i have a dam good reason for it and hear goes i have first hand seen what this can do to someone when left to late .and after 5 years i still have trouble talking about this . my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer and because he left it so late and got so sick before seeing a Doc his fight against the cancer was short and very painful .and in short i mean he was diagnosed and then within 12 months he had passed away .in the 12 months he had about 5 ops to slow the cancer intense radiation treatment & was on 100 mgs of liquid morphine very day and by the end he had almost no memory of anything as in he did not know he had two children in me and my sister and then it was over he died.
so for a little discomfort you can save you self and you family & friends a hell of a lot of pain
so i plead with you all if you are 30years or over or you know someone that is 30 or over and male get on their back about getting a check up
this is why every year i grow a mo for Movember it is and has been a massive success in Australia and i have added a link that with give you all more info on Movember and more importantly will raise awareness on prostate cancer as well thanks for reading this and please do have a look around the link go to the about Movember part on the page that will give you the jist
