Definitely right about Ghost. Your class lacks focus,SR. You either need to focus on staying as hidden as possible with Ghost/Slilencer, in which case it most often won't matter if you have more bullets than the other guy because you're shooting him in the back or side and he has no chance to retaliate so it'll also require less bullets to put him down, thus stretching your shots per clip, so you can do without the Extended Mags.
Or focus fully on Run & Gun. Here you'll likely want either Scavenger (though if you're still dying quickly, skip it for now) or Lightweight for improved mobility. Hardline might be a good starter, but once you really get going you won't need it to get the spy plane. Imo, Lightweight's ability to let you be where the opponents don't expect as quickly as possible is for more valuable.

Side note: Loud guns can be used to trick people. Plant a claymore and then walk away from it firing a couple shots. People will try to flank the moving red dot and walk right into it. Or you can also just lure them into your sites because they'll think to catch you reloading and possibly wounded.

So from what you guys are saying now, I shouldn't even bother with Scavenger and Ninja for the time being. I'm also gathering that the class setup I should be using is:

What do you think I should be running on my sniper class? This is my current setup:

try hacker on that. with pro, you wont be detected by motion sensors and you can hack equipment.

ggs today with 6 Very Happy= :D we owned. sept one game. but there was some suspicious stuff going on with my connection for the majority of that game.

my current top class is:

ghost pro
SoH Pro
Hacker Pro

Aug dual mag
Strella

I use ghost to stay off radar and clear out KS's. SOH for the fast ADS (im pretty slow so i need that little boost). Hack to pick off claymores and i can hack now too.

I prefer Hardened to SoH because it has greater utility. There is very little cover from a Hardened user, and the way the Pro version stops flinching when you're hit allows you to win fights you might otherwise lose.
Sleight of Hand is still good, but you can largely compensate for a slower reload with Extended Mags.

Definitely Hacker. It's got so many benefits all rolled into one. See where enemy equipment is through walls, steal enemy equipment, trap stolen care packages, don't show up on Motion Sensors. The claymore deaths it'll save you alone make it worth it. You can also save your team from them by destroying them through walls from across the map with just a couple bullets if you pair it with Hardened.

For secondary, I carry a Strela, but if you already have Ghost Pro unlocked, then you might just want to make a second class just for Anti-air and switch to it if you die while there's a chopper up. Opt for a sidearm instead as an added precaution against running out of ammo.
I prefer to keep the Strela around though, mostly because I take the time to shoot down UAVs and CUAVs, as well as any others. Just because I don't use a silencer doesn't mean I want the enemy having any idea where I am.

ive been meaning to give hardened a try
dual mag gives you enough ammo that i see no need to walk around with any pistol, and i dont like the ballistic knife or crossbow. SoH pretty much makes reload time 0 when you're on a quick reload with dual mag Razz

Unfortunately guys, I find this more detrimental than actually helpful. I really do appreciate the help, but it more so seems like you guys are telling me what not to use instead of what to actually use. I'm getting so many different people telling me all to do different things pretty much.

There have been plenty of situations in MW2 where i was just using some assault rifle without Scavenger, and an AA Weapon as my secondary. That didn't work out so well because of the fact that I'm not the best shooter, I'd end up running out of ammo and would be SOL because all I had to fall back on was a weapon that only locked onto vehicles, resulting in me dying if caught out of ammo in a firefight with an AA backup.

I definitely think having an AA Class with Ghost Pro and a launcher would be beneficial to have, but using it as a main, go to class for 90% of the time just wouldn't work out so well due to situations that I have mentioned just a few moments ago. So for now I'm just gonna end up running with this and see how it works out:

FAMAS w/ Silencer
Makarov w/ Ex Mags

Concussion
Semtex
Claymore

Ghost
Sleight of Hand
Hacker.

Hey Streety,

Without rocking AA as your back up you are never going to get those 30 air support take downs you need for pro. If you use the LAW then you can use that AP in an emergency.
