Case in point, if someone posted any copyright infringing material to this site, even without the Mod or Admin knowledge, it would be shut down. A graphic used in the video illustrates it as a conversation between the government and site owner, the gist of which was: G: "There is (X-copyright infringing material) on your site. We're taking it down." O: "I have no control over what my users post. I can get rid of it, but I can't stop it." G: "And that's why we're shutting you down. Should have done more to stop it." And what exactly is copyright infringing material is so broadly defined that so much as a screenshot from a show with a funny caption falls under it.

Although I doubt big corporation sites will be taken down..... uh, we fired the employee who made that mistake, here take this money, sorry.... I could see smaller ones get eaten alive. Look at how out of hand patent issues have become. I could see trolls using the tactic to screw with communities very easily. |

| Yup. People have already begun posting as much as they can to government sites. But do you really think they'll be effected by this? Of course not. And like Rr said, corporations already buy themselves out of whatever trouble they want. The only thing that comes out of this is helping to stifle competition. __________________________ |
