havent forgot about this just giving the game a rest for a little bit until patch comes out and rids us of the hordes of usas frag round spammers. news concerning upcoming map pack is coming soon from dice.

scuttlebutt on the net is that it will be an america map pack. but for those of you living in those cities do not fear! only small walls and one or two buildings will get damaged during the firefight :p

Small tip that I keep on forgetting to put in that affects all main guns:

DO NOT FIRE ALL OF YOUR ROUNDS! Reloading a totally empty gun takes much longer because you have to chamber the first round. If you keep a minimum of 1 round in the gun you will have a faster reload because all you are doing is changing a magazine. A small decrease in reloading times can pull your fat out of the fryer!

Oh wow, I didn't realize the game had that level of detail. I am a reload spammer - kill, safe spot, reload, kill, safe spot, reload, - so it's usually not an issue, but still good to know.

yeah, the detail is crazy especially on the lmg class. belt fed vs box fed makes a big reload difference as well.

i also have a theory that bullpup designs take longer to reload because you have to leave a firing position. but i could be very wrong.

ive been in too many situations where i panic and run the gun dry, only to get killed while im frantically waiting for my gun to reload.

A little BF3 news update is that there is going to be "the big patch" coming up that is supposed to throw the weapon attachment world upside down. A lot of the lesser used ones are going to get a buff, and the popular ones are going to get changed ( not necessarily nerfed) to more reflect real world ability and to create more diversity in game.

so the tried and true holo+foregrip+supressor is not going to be the same after the patch.

my friendly advice would be to start playing without a foregrip so you can get used to heavier recoil again. dont bother getting in a rush to try out new attachments because they will not have the same values as they do today. or try taking your favorite gun and setting it back to stock (minus sight of choice) and trying to relearn its behavior.

Quick tip - if you're tail-gating (rudder-gating?) a jet, only shoot one of your Heat Seekers and use your main cannon. If you shoot both rockets, then they'll end up using one set of flares for both your rockets. Once you've reloaded, they'd have reloaded their flares as well.

If you shoot once, they'll use their flares on only one rocket so you can use the second rocket quickly after they deploy them. This'll take down around half their health and with a few well-placed bursts from the main cannon, you can get an easy ki
ll.
