| Hey all.
The Sixth Nation has begun its planning and layout of a Halloween Theme Night on R2. Participants will be asked to come dressed in one of these skins, to remain "in costume" for the Halloween party.
Skins Cloven Corpse Decayed Grim Leech
We have a series of mini games we have hatched, tried, and feel will be a great way for all in the R2 community to get together and have some fun. Below is a list of these events. The hope is to have a day long (as much as possible) event so all timezones can participate. Not only can you play these mini games, but if willing volunteer to help inside them as one of a couple integral pieces. Not only will we need "Refs" for a few of these games, but players to act as opposition. Some more details on that are listed in the events section below.
I hope this turns out to be a large event, and so promotion has also begun on other sites. If any in this community would like to get hands on in game, or out for promotional purposes, let us know by posting in this thread. If you have been directed here by link from another site, please post as a sign up of interest to which game you would to play. This is so we can get a ballpark figure as to which events look to be in need of more attention, and for scheduling purposes. Thank you all for your time.
Halloween Theme Night: A Series of Unfortunate Events Names of games, rules, and times are subject to change in this early stage.
When: October 24th Times: TBD but the hope is a day long event
Events:
Night of the Living Dead Mode: TDM
Objective: The player is placed inside one of the buildings of a yet to be chosen map. Enemies in whatever number of volunteers we have, flood the house to attack the player with melees only. Enemies should spawn with the pre determined weapon the player is using, so there is a supply of ammo. Upon death, volunteers will need to rush back to the house so the onslaught of monsters continues. The game ends when the player is killed. Volunteers should, to stay in theme with the event and game title wear corpse or grim skins.
King of the Hill Mode Deathmatch
Objective: To be the player to hold the designated "hill" for the longest period of time in a timed deathmatch. The player with the longest time of all players involved will be titled the KotH winner.
Mode: Team Deathmatch
Objective: To be the 5 man squad to hold the hill for the longest period of time in a timed tdm. The squad with the longest time of all competing squads will be titled the Team KotH winner
Needs: 1-2 refs depending on intrest (for timing purposes)
Doppelganger Mode: Deathmatch
Objective: Players face off in a timed death match while all using the same predetermined weapon and berserk. The player with the highest score when time expires wins the match. Combination's:
Map/Weapon/Berserk Sub Docks/ Carbine/Electrostatic Orb Alleys/ Marksmen/Overload Cocodrie/Auger/Invisibility More TBD. Post your suggestions for others!!!
Needs: None I can think of
Trick or Treat Mode: Core Control
Objective: To run to the enemy base, steal the enemy power core, and return it to home base for a one cap win. The map will have stationary zoned enemies with pre set weapons. The player may fire upon and even kill enemies while trying to cap, but the over all winner is based off the fastest capping time. Enemies will not be given the easy weapons like Fareyes and Marksmans to make the job too tough, so don't sweat it.
Needs: 4-6 players to sit in the pre set "zones" 1-2 refs totals 8 volunteers
The One on One Run Mode: Deathmatch
Objective: Similar to King of the Hill, but the player will face off against opponents in a rapid yet controlled succession of 1 v 1s. So to break down.. Player kills first enemy, next enemy is allowed in. Player kills that enemy, the next one is allowed in. Player is killed by that opponent ending his game with a score of 2 The player with the highest kill count before being defeated will be titled winner of the 1v1 run
Bobbing for Chimeran: A Fareye Challenge Mode: Deathmatch
Objective: The player must stand in a pre set spot, and head shot the chimeran players. Most will be targets placed around, on or in the houses on Orick. Think Whack a Mole...but with guns. The first non head shot ends the game, and head shot totals determine who is titled the winner of the BFC game.
Needs: 6-8 "Moles"
edits and additions to this post may follow
This event is more for fun, the possibilty to make new friends, and bragging rights. Maybe I can get a few user bars done up so you have something to brag with.
Sign up for play and volunteers begins now.
Thanks all.

Sounds a lot of fun Six, and since this will be on the weekend, I will be there. As for the "Night of the Living Dead" game...do the Undead get to run, or is it just walking? (Because if its running, I dont think anyone wants me to be a Zombie...)

Sweet. I guess I should make a list to have on all these threads too for players and "support staff"..Im not sure what to call it. From what I can tell, true "refs" will only be needed to time certain things, and in the case of Doppelganger make sure no one is leaving their zones. Otherwise it's just some having bodies to shoot at. So...support staff? idk :geek: __________________________

Just an idea for when you need a stationary body to shoot at, simply plug in another controller. __________________________

We have already hit a couple other forums with that OP. If anyone visits others that have a ps3/R2/ or common gaming area or site, please feel free to copy and paste. We need to get the word out anywhere and everywhere we can. The Ps3 forums are obviously a bust as all Res traffic is moved to Myres where we already have it set up. Thanks to monkey for already getting it out in other places. __________________________
