One of my profs showed the class this test today. Its a quick test to show you where you lie on a political version of the cartesian plain. i found it kind of interesting. this test isnt going to be completely accurate, obviously, but it gives you a general idea. it also shows you where other important figures fall on this scale.

So you're the exact same as me on the left/right scale, and slighly more libertarian.

I think that that means that economicaly, you like the whole idea of a free-market economy; however, you realize that something is needed to keep greedy bastards from wrecking things for the rest of us, and this is one of the roles of government. You also think that the government should help out those who need it, but that it shouldn't carry them to a better life; government will get people on their feet, but they have to walk on their own. Socially, you think that government has little right to intervene in private matters that don't harm anyone else.
