Blog, eh? That's a rather odd sounding word... anyways...
Hmm... *counts forums on her hand* The Sixth Nation is my fourth forum; there's an awesome group of people here, I must say.
My first forum was Bethesda's official forum, being into
Morrowind and
Oblivion at the time, and I wasn't really into online games yet. I had some interesting times there and met a handful of cool people, but it's quite different from forums that talk about online games. I left because I got bored of both those games and there wasn't really anyone I wanted to go back to talk to.
After getting my PSP (which I believe was three years ago), I hung out at the PlayStation forums, which were at the time known as the PSU. Don't really remember them, and then they changed to just the Playstation.com forums. Nice place there, and I had some fun times on the
Warhawk boards after we got a PS3. I even was taking care of the
Warhawk player directory for a while there. I think I must have seen a trailer for
Resistance 2 at some point and started to look at the
Resistance boards there.
And then, it got locked. The whole board.

I had enjoyed
Fall of Man, I absolutely loved
Resistance 2. I wasn't too keen on going to another forum, but I really did love those games that much and it kept popping up at the bottom of the R2 screen. So a few weeks later I registered there, and I'm very glad I did. I was nervous at first like I am at any new place, but I met some VERY cool people.

I liked the fact that for some reason I could remember everyone's names; it wasn't just a mass of people I didn't know. I don't know what it is about that place. The best thing I did there was reply to the Superhuman Saturdays! thread and ask if I could show up one Saturday. At first I thought they were a little odd, but after showing up several times and getting to know the people there, I'm really glad I went to MyRes. I really do like the SHS crew, and I don't think there's anything that would make me leave them. I've made a game there (the Stage 9 Inhibitor game), a resource thread, and numerous friends. I still go there because I consider it my home away from home.
And then I wondered "Where did everybody go? Why has everyone left?" So, I've been asking around, poking my nose into places where I normally didn't go. My wanderings have given me an idea of what happened, what it was like, why it is the way it is today. I really do value the quote "Understanding is a three-edged sword: your side, their side, and the truth," and I think that in order to truly understand something one must look at something from all perspectives. The Sixth Nation looked like a good place to get a feel for what the old MyRes was like.
I like the members here at the Sixth. This isn't just a place to see how things were anymore for me: this is a great place to hang out simply because of the awesome members here. I like it here, but I will always go to MyRes. It's the reason I'm here, and many of my friends still go there.
Comment on my history if you'd like, but I'm not asking for any. I realize that you may not want to anymore being an old subject and all. I just needed to get that out.
Huh. Stepping out of my comfort zone isn't so bad. Thanks for reading.
So, my Big Comfy Couch:
I'm rather chatty, if you hadn't noticed already, be it here or at MyRes.

I encounter random things every day, and I'd like to share them with friends. I like to talk about the old and the new. Maybe I'll get some pictures up now and again.

Feel free to say whatever here, I don't mind. Warning though: sometimes my posts can be incoherent at times, usually if I'm tired.

I try my best, but we all slip up now and again.
It's a Big Comfy Couch, so there's room for everyone.

*Gives kudos to those who get the reference.*
So, to start off I guess:
I got Facebook because during my grad year my friend kept telling me about these grad updates, saying they were emails. I said, "I didn't get an email," and then she said "Oh, it wasn't an email, it was a Facebook message."
So, to get all the grad updates, I had to get a Facebook account. I kept it since it's a great way to stay in touch. Family members usually automatically get added, but friends seem to be a bit more tricky. I have some friends with relatively few friends, and others with hundreds and in some cases thousands of friends. I don't really have a clear "criteria" when adding friends.

I don't accept every invite I get, even though I know the person.
And so I ask:
What are your criteria when adding friends? Do you have any criteria?
